As you can see, the Mr. and I are working on redesigning the site in preparation for the upcoming school year. This isn't what it will look like, but it's a small part in the process. As I said previously, mrshughey.com will change significantly once it gets in the virtual hands of my students. I would love it if my readers would continue to stop in and visit, though. Also, thanks to those who have contacted me requesting notification about a possible future online journal site.
For those who are curious, here are the tentative plans for my web site(s):
I'll keep mrshughey.com up. It will include information for my students, information about my professional life, and two sort of online journals: one will be my responses to daily journal prompts I give to my English classes; the other will be a periodic journal about my teaching. This site will also include links to my previous "American in Oxford" entries and the "Oxford Outsider's Guide."
I am also "in talks" about a second, entirely separate web site where I would keep a personal web log. This would discuss teaching as well as other things and would more closely resemble my "American in Oxford" style writing. This is the one you should email me about if you want to be informed when it comes to fruition (assuming it does). Unless, of course, I already know you are a regular reader and have your email addy.
