ch ch ch changes

Wow. A week ago, I was on vacation in Florida and enjoying a relaxing time with loved ones.

Today I have moved into a new apartment in Florida, I'm arranging to spend 2 months away from my husband while he finishes the term in Oxford, and preparing to fly out to Salt Lake City this weekend to retrieve two of our kitties. And at some point in this mess I have to find myself a job to last until I start teaching in the fall (at least I hope I'll be teaching again in the fall!).

It's been a crazy week to say the least.

The very short story is that some unexpected things came up. In order to deal with those things, Andrew and I decided I would go ahead and move back to Florida now rather than waiting until the summer when I was *probably* going to move back anyway. It's complicated and, in many ways, sucks eggs, but it's how we decided to handle things.

I love Oxford and hope to return there soon, even if it's just for a visit and a snuggle with my wonderful husband. For now, I'm very busy getting life restarted in the USA.

I'm still very much in the "moving in" process, so the entries may be a little thin for a while. Not to mention I'm spending every minute possible with Andrew before his return to the UK.

So you are definately staying down here then?? Well, there isn't that much of a rush to plan anything...Let me know when you are going and returning to and from Salt Lake City and I can plan around that. Thanks!

Oh gosh, I'm sorry you won't be coming back to Oxford Erin! We'll all miss having you around. Take care and keep in touch- I'll be faithfully reading your blog- and we'll keep an eye on Andrew for you!!

(Truthfully, my first reaction was that this has to be an April Fools' joke but then I noticed that the entry was posted on the 31st of March.)
