Our visit back home is getting closer. Although I am greatly looking forward to it, I've really hardly had a chance to think about actually getting ready for it. Poor Andrew is absolutely buried with schoolwork and I'm of little help to him right now. I just try to stay out of his way and give him extra hugs.
Time seems to slip by so quickly, but we try to grasp it when we can and go along for the ride. I'm still working on the novel when I can (often, but, sadly, not every day). Andrew's working hard in school. And we're having serious discussions and investigations into the plan for next year. It's one of those times in our lives where we feel like there's no time to look around; but in years to come we will often look back on this time and probably remember it fondly as a time of growth and opportunity.
I've got a couple of entries floating around up there, but right now I'm about to head to the Bodleian for my evening shift, so no time to fully explore those ideas.
Yes, I do have an opinion on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer news. It might surprise you. But I want to write that one properly, not in a rush before work.
Life is fine otherwise. Last night we attended Chaplain Simon Oliver's weekly film night. We'd been to Romeo and Juliet (the Baz Luhrman version) and Twelfth Night. Last night was Othello featuring Lawrence Fishburne as Othello and Kenneth Branaugh as Iago. Next week there's a discussion about the three films. Should be fun. R&J is my favorite Shakespeare play (followed closely by Hamlet) and Andrew's is Othello, so we should both be able to contribute to the discussion.
Today we slept in and then came into town for lunch and computer time. Andrew will be running the evening prayer service (as he does most Tuesdays because Simon teaches a class in Cambridge on Tuesdays) while I work in the Proscrolium checking IDs and reading Return of the King.
Soon I shall write about Miss Gellar's announcement and other interesting topics rather than boring you to death with my daily to-do list wrapups. Patience, gentle reader.
