Feels like a weekend

I must make this a very quick entry, but wanted to note a couple of things for readers.

First off, we have just returned from London. Actually, we haven't gotten home yet. We were on our way home from the train station and decided to pop into Hertford and check our email.

I'll have to write about London later. My sister, Kim, is visiting England with her husband (they fly out tomorrow morning). Yesterday Kim arrived in Oxford around noon and we showed her around for a few hours. Then we took the train to London to meet up with her husband. We had dinner there and spent last night in a nice hotel. Today we visited several fun touristy sites (more about that in a future entry - no time now) and then took the train back to Oxford. I have to work tomorrow and Saturday, but having taken today off and spent the night at a hotel yesterday, it already feels like the weekend.

If you've emailed me, I'm trying to get caught up. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble with my webmail client. I can read my email on the web, but I can't reply. So I have to have my own computer to respond to you. Please be patient, I'll try to get caught up soon. And if you emailed me more than a few days ago and I haven't replied, you might want to send me a note and let me know you didn't get my response. Darn webmail!

Tomorrow is our next black tie dinner at Hertford. Also a guest dinner, so we've invited our friend Andrew and his partner, Dan. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that email went out properly (ACK!) but I hope they'll be there. It would be nice to have friends from outside Hertford attend an event with us. Fun!
