Still here

Yeah, I know, it's been a while. It's been kind of a busy week with emails and potential visits (my sister is hoping to come see us in about a month). Also, with MCR events and work PLUS I'm feeling pretty blecky this week.

I'm heading off for my evening shift at the Bod in just a few minutes, but thought I'd put something up so you all know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth.

I've been training in a slightly different job at the Bod. They're having me fill in for the guy in charge of office supply orders for a few days, so right now he's training me. Pretty glamorous, huh? I know!

I have had a sorta heavy feeling in my chest for a few days and feel tired and kinda yuck. Not bad enough to miss work or anything, but, you know how it is. Anyway, hoping to feel better soon.

Kim is hoping to visit us - although VERY briefly - next month. She'll spend less than a day in Oxford if it works out. Excited to show her around, but I wish she could be around for at least a couple of days. I know the folks at Hertford are anxious to meet her.

I've almost finished Fast Food Nationwhich is fairly interesting. Some of it I've heard before, but much of it is new. I don't think it's particularly well-written, but the topic and information are good enough to keep me interested. I am hoping to finish it tonight at my shift. Non-fiction definitely doesn't feed my inner writing demon like fiction does, so a part of me is eager to get done with it.

Got Buffy Season 5 on DVD today along with my SIMS expansion. I spend very little time playing SIMS nowadays, but the expansion has some fun things. And the Buffy thing is rad, of course! I may try to host a few Buffy viewing parties wherein I can fill in those who are new to the show. It's much more fulfilling if you know the mythology.

I don't know why I'm still typing! I need to get to work!
