A busy little bee!

Okay, no time really for an update. I work my evening shift at the Bodleian tonight, which always throws off my whole day. I work from 5 - 10, so it's too early to have dinner first and I'm done to late to eat. Thus, in a few minutes, I shall go for a snack.

I'm sure I've got lots to update - more new readers, I've heard from my former colleagues in Florida (teachers) and I'm working away on the novel (which is why I haven't updated today). I'm also on page 252 of The Green Mile, which my sister will probably be shocked at and I am a bit, too. My reading speed seems to keep getting faster. Plus last night I got to an exciting part and stayed up late reading.

Had a lovely evening of my girl Buffy last night with Andrew (not my husband, another one, although my husband was also there) and Heidi. Lovely folks, a lovely apartment (Andrew's), and another very good episode, especially Xander's talk at the end (which I will NOT reveal as it would be a spoiler!). Anyway, it was really nice and I'm again caught up. Next week's a re-run, so I'm caught up for two whole weeks! We'll be joining Andrew again next week for Angel, though.

Tonight MY Andrew will be playing board and card games with fellow MCR members Rich, Mindy and PJ. Fun! Saturday we are all going to see Chicago together. And Friday night is our first black tie dinner of the term. We will celebrate some bizarre Scottish ritual called Burn's Night which apparently involves bad food, bad poetry and scads of whisky (no, not whiskey, whisky, there's apparently a difference). We won't probably partake of the whisky as we are really not drinkers, but will be there for the strangeness that will undoubtedly ensue.

Life is fun.

I really enjoyed last night too! Xander gets my vote for 'Most Sympathetic Character' of the past few weeks. Although I suspect the whole Anya-arc isn't played out entirely...

Mmm... sword through the chest.
